You've done your research, planned your campaign, and now you've put an action on the calendar that builds momentum for your initiative and shows your people power. So how do you turn out the people? This training will focus on effective ways to turn out people to an action, how to mobilize coalition partners and their ranks, and how to best prepare program participants going into the event. Last year alone Transportation Alternatives held nearly 400 actions and turned out thousands of New Yorkers to events in all five boroughs. We'll let you know the do's and don'ts to make sure your event is a success and moves your cause forward.
Over the years, we’ve trained hundreds of New Yorkers to get involved in their communities. Whether you’re advocating for safer streets, food justice, environmental justice, or equitable housing and civil rights, the organizing skills that we’ve worked on developing in our Your City Your Voice Activist Training series have contributed to dozens of successful campaigns across the city.
